SWANA kulturexpansion
23 augusti 2025

Konsthall C proudly presents a collaboration with community superstars Beit Kultur, taking place on August 23 in Hökarängen.
Beit Kultur hosts a collaborative fundraiser for Palestine — rooted in solidarity and resistance. The aim is to raise awareness around SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) as a non-colonial term that reclaims the identity of the people in the region*.
Through art, we explore roots, identity, and resistance — creating space for narratives often silenced or misunderstood. This fundraiser is curated to expand cultural and artistic expression from the SWANA community in Stockholm.
It is also a response to the urgent need to decolonize misconceptions of the Arab world and challenge narratives shaped by white supremacy. We believe in rethinking how we speak about SWANA — reclaiming the stories, voices, and lived experiences of its people.

80% of proceeds go to PCRF (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund), 20% to performance artists as a small reimbursement. The goal of the event is not only to raise awareness, but to raise funds — to support the most vulnerable impacted by the violence in Palestine.
We invite you to take part.
To resist through expression.
To stand in solidarity.
To create space for truth.
We must continue to speak about Palestine — to resist the ongoing occupation and stand with Indigenous communities facing erasure.
The genocide in Gaza is not invisible. It is ongoing. We must not look away.
* The term Middle East, used by European and Western powers, reflects a Eurocentric worldview that erases diversity and imposes colonial perspectives.
