Flo Kasearus video work Client’s Day, which is part of our current show Performing the Fringe, is now available online for a limited time.
2020 Flo Kasearu

Client’s Day demonstrates the potential of the ruin of a panel block house located on the fringe of Tallinn, only minutes away from the sea. Flo’s work shows gentrification in progress and reflects on the artist’s role within its processes, in particular as they affect Tallinn. Artists are usually the first to occupy previously derelict areas and create value there, only to be pushed out once the neighbourhood becomes too expensive.

In this video, a real estate broker speaks about the future as if it were the present, ignoring the actual present and the artists who are living in the area at the moment, as they are often seen as filling a temporary hole. It’s your chance to Explore Tomorrow, and Book Your Future Today.

The exhibition is open Thur–Fri 12–5. More info: https://konsthallc.se/program/performing-the-fringe
